How IOX stays alive

A 6% service fee paid by your customers

When a customer books an experience, buys merchandise, or pays for a ticket on IOX, we add a 6% service fee at checkout. They see it clearly before they confirm. You keep 100% of your ticket or booking price. That 6% funds the software, hosting, support, email delivery, and the entire cross-platform IOX ecosystem — forever.

Founder tenants pay even less — your customers see a 5% fee instead, a permanent price advantage over competitors on the same spoke.

The honest fine print

Two usage-based costs aren't covered by the IOX fee — we're upfront about them:

Payment processor fees

Your payment processor (we recommend Stripe) charges its own transaction fees — typically 2.9% + $0.30 per card. That comes out of your revenue, not IOX's fee. Prefer to push it to the customer? We can configure checkout to show it as a separate line item.

SMS (managed service)

SMS reminders, text confirmations, and OTP codes are billed by IOX at ~$0.02 per SMS. That includes the Twilio carrier cost plus IOX's work — templates, retries, opt-in/out handling, 10DLC compliance. You never manage carriers yourself. Email delivery is covered at no charge; skip SMS or pass its cost to the customer if your model prefers.
